Decock Plants is a steadily growing company which can rely on 25 years of experience. We are fully specialised in the production of youngplants. The company was founded in 1987 by Ludo Decock and is today one of the leading companies in the market.
Decock is currently employing more than 750 employees. Decock Plants has 6 hectares of ultra modern production facilities in Belgium and our own company of over 12 hectares in Ethiopia to ensure we can work with the highest quality cuttings.
By continuous education and high flexibility we have built up knowledge, which enables us to deliver the highest quality standards to our customers.
Decock Plants produces about 50 million youngplants for the European market. Our customers are mainly professional growers. The company in Belgium roots the cuttings. The production of the cuttings is situated in our company in Ethiopia.
The process of rooting the cuttings takes place in our production facility in Komen. Because of our extensive experience and continuous investment in people and infrastructure, we are able to deliver a uniform top product. Being located in Central Europe means we can supply our customers in a fast and reliable manner.
In 2007 Decock decided to build its own company in Ethiopia. Controlling the motherstock was the biggest driver to realize this expansion. This is the only way we can assure the top-quality we want.
The challenge was huge, but because of the relentless efforts of our local team 4 hectares of greenhouses were up and running in 2008. In 2010 an additional 4 hectares were built. Because of the quick growth, 4 more hectares were built in 2012, and as of 2014 another 2 hectares were added now totaling 14 hectares.
Since 1987, Decock has been working hard to gain your trust. We’ve done this by supplying plants of supreme quality. Through intensive research we learned a lot over the years and we can now deliver the best possible genetics for our range of plants. We have maintained this approach year after year, which is the main reason why our customers are satisfied an our business has been successful.
We have updated our catalogue this year with additional information and a new layout. This should make it easier for you to find your way through our range – which has also been significantly expanded this year.
Not only our range is growing... Decock permanently invests in training of existing employees and the expansion of the whole team. We welcome Peter Hengstler and Benno Nieuwenhuis, who will respectively develop our business in Germany, The Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia. Our team in Komen is also being reinforced, to help us further improve our customer service level.
